映画パンフレット専門店の店長が見てきた映画をレビューします
「Ｍ：ｉ：ＩＩＩ(2006)」や「スター・トレック(2009)」の「Ｊ・Ｊ・エイブラムス」監督が、本作の製作を務める「スティーヴン・スピルバーグ」と組んだＳＦ・アドベンチャー作品で予告編を観る限りでは「Ｅ.Ｔ.(1982)」に近いイメージがあったのだが・・・
結果は・・・微妙です。。。
ＳＦ風「グーニーズ(1985)」って感じがピッタリかもしれません。
グロテスクな宇宙人が現れますし、地球人もボコボコにやられますが、最初に悪かったのは人間の方だから殺されるのは仕方がないという設定で何とも中途半端です！
子供達が本筋の主人公なんだが、宇宙人を発見したり助けようという内容でもないし、トラブルに巻き込まれて逃げ惑うだけというのは「クローバーフィールド／HAKAISHA(2008)」的でエイリアン物映画として観るにしても登場まで時間をかけ過ぎです。
最後は「Ｅ.Ｔ.」風なのだが、あんだけ人間殺されてんのに、やられっぱなしで終わっちゃって良いの？って思ってしまう。
私の想像ですが、エイブラムス監督が主人公達に自己投影した映画なんでしょう。
タイトルの意味は最後の最後で判ります。
現在楽しみにしているのは、この監督の作品で2011年末に公開される「ミッション：インポッシブル／ゴースト・プロトコル(2011)」で、主演は勿論「トム・クルーズ」です。
